Almost 1 month...

May 10th, 2012

Blake is up to 1 lbs 14 oz today! His eyes are open wide and he is smiling up a storm! He is tolerating stimulus much better today than the weekend. However his lungs keep alternating which is going to collapse and which is going to be fully expanded. Just a common problem with preemies. They have made some adjustements on the venitlator though and hopefully we have found the perfect spot for him to rest his lungs. Blake is still producing stool from his ostomy which is great and they are talking about possibly feeding him tomorrow or over the weekend if all goes well!! Blake is now sucking on his thumb like a champ, and hopefully soon will get big enough for a pacifer! (right now they are all WAY too big!) We continue to meet parents who have been through similar situations up here and at the Ronald McDonald house where we are staying! It is truly inspirational to hear some of their stories and see their little ones now! We continue to thank God for everyday we get with Blake and thank our friends and family for the continued support and prayers! DONT stop now, we still have a long road ahead of us. We will be here is Indy atleast until JUly so we are prepared for ups and downs, but we will live day by day and thank the LORD for everyday we get to spend with our precious baby boy!
